What  is The Bowen Technique?

A remedial therapy in which the practitioner uses thumbs and forefingers on precise points of the body to make rolling type moves, interspersed with periods of rest.

This process gently stimulates the muscles, soft tissue and energy within the body.  The periods of rest allow the body the opportunity to determine its response.  It is these responses that make the adjustments which help to re-align, relieve tension, reduce pain and promote the recovery of energy.

There is No manipulation, cracking of joints, or adjustment of hard tissue and it is not a form of massage.  Two or three treatments at weekly intervals are often sufficient to achieve lasting relief, although chronic conditions may benefit from top-up treatments over a more extended period of time. The experience of the treatment is gentle, subtle and relaxing and it is these features which make The Bowen Technique so unique.

Bowen treats the body as a whole

Client had been suffering from Chronic Fatigue for 4 yrs along with radiating pain across her shoulders, upper back and neck with headaches.  Following 1st treatment, pain was less severe and client able to start cycling.  After 2nd treatment client started dance classes.  Client continued to have maintenance treatments on a regular basis and found that following the final treatment the pain and headaches had not returned and energy levels remain high.
